Elder reqeust me as a friend on Facebook I accept but he never talks to me. WTF?!
by Blue Grass inok. i went from being confused to upset and i'm not even sure why.
after being inactive for 3 years an elder from my old congo request me as a friend and never tries to get me to come back to the hall.
i don't want to return but i at least want t be asked.

maybe it was automatic friend request from his whole email addresses list.
He doesn't have my e-mail address. Plus we spoke once when I accepted and he made no mention of anything related to Jehovah's Witnesses.

This guy has never sent me a message, post on my wall, and he obviously never even visited my page because the one time I chatted with him he was asking me questions that were already answered on my profile. This has been such a let down. I was expecting to be victim to an aggressive witch hunt. I was so ready to tell this guy I no longer wanted to be a JW but he just never asked. Never asked me if I was active, never asked what congregation I attend, never asked if will I return to my old congregation, nothing! I guess I'm just not important. I wonder if the entire congregation just forgot about me.

generation teaching reconsidered
by inbetween inwas thinking about this new generation teaching, and to some extend it makes sense, let me explain.. first of all, i personally believe, it only applied to jesus time, it only made sense there, and when jesus talked about it, in the year 33, this generation certainly observed the events leading to jerusalems destruction 70 ce.
( even though the context does not really give much hint, since he talks about the sign of the son of man being seen in heaven etc, something that did not happen in the first century).
the main question is, what is a generation ?.

she called the woman i work for to set up a visit after noon tomorrow to talk to me.. i don't know this sister very well.
she is from a congregation i attended about six years ago.

by gutted ini was discussing doctrine with my mom, to try to get her to see things in another way.

Depends on what you mean by mistakes. They never made mistakes concerning doctrine or prophecy like the watchtower. Also as already stated you could use that same login about any religion. Of course the catholic church and the pope made mistaakes in the past, but we should wait on jehovah and continue to obey them because they are imperfect.
